Database hits 500,000

We now have over 500,000 podcasts and media files that you can search for and download to your phone. Podcasts are being added all the time and there are plans for user submitted recordings to be made available by RSS subscription, which will mean that you can have your very own RSS feed for your recordings. Get feedback straight to your mobile

In the current stage of development, phone messaging has been integrated with the website. This means you can view replies to your posted stuff and reply back to the sender. Just select Messages on your phone and view and reply to feedback from fellow Mutoview users!

Phone Multimedia Recording

Phone recording capabilities have been added to the FAQ section. So if you're looking for a phone with certain J2ME capabilities you can look them up. Phones Supporting Video Capture, Phones Supporting Audio Capture and Phones Supporting Photography are shown.

Podcast Search Added

A podcast search facility has been added so you can search from thousands of podcasts from this site as well as your phone. You can find it at the usual place here.

Update

Well it's been over a month now since Mutoview was launched and the interest has been overwhelming! There's been tons of members registered from their phone and many posting stuff to their pad. There's also been a whole range of phones that are working with Mutoview Portable and the most recent ones are really getting the benefits of the multimedia recording and media playback. In the near future there's going to be updates to Mutoview Portable soon so look out for the new features. We'll keep members posted on what's happening so check your messages. Using Mutoview Portable with Wi-Fi

Mutoview Portable has been tested successfully on the Nokia N80 using a Wi-Fi connection. The reliability and speed of download is much improved compared to OTA methods - and of course you don't pay for the expensive connection. So you can get all your media files super fast without the tariff. To get going you're going to need to have your own access point or be in a Wi-Fi hotspot to use it, but with more and more popping up everywhere it's a great option for downloading and browsing stuff.
