| Mutoview Portable - The Phone Software Mutoview Portable is built using J2ME technology and has been tested on a number of handsets.
It makes use of MMAPI (the media part of J2ME) and has been built to take advantage of the underlining technology, both now and pending improvements in the future. So when the phone's software improves, so does Mutoview Portable.
For example, different phones have different playback format capability. Some phones will play MPEG4 video, some will not. But it is expected that most will in the future - and Mutoview Portable will seamlessly facilitate this with no upgrade required. It's the same with media streaming. Many new Sony Ericsson phones can stream MP4 media but other phones can't - when they do, Mutoview Portable will work alongside the streaming technology.
Almost all MIDP 2.0 devices have MMAPI capability to some degree so if you've got a MIDP 2.0 phone you'll be able to use Mutoview Portable in some form or another.
Here are some phones that support video capture, support audio capture and support image capture.
